Looking for a repair rather than a new door? Garage door repair or single panel replacement is often the cheaper answer.
Questions
Choosing a garage door
Which garage door styles do you carry?
Short panel and long panel raised-panel doors, stamped carriage house, Skyline flush and stamped shaker. All are insulated-steel options from CHI, and all can be ordered non-insulated, vinyl-backed or fully insulated depending on the family.
What sizes do you stock?
Widths from 6 to 18 feet depending on the style, in both 7-foot and 8-foot heights. Short and long panel are stocked most deeply. Anything outside the stocked list is a special order.
How much does a new garage door cost?
It depends on the size, the style and the insulation you choose, so we don't publish a figure that would be wrong for most homes. The measure is free — a technician confirms the opening, talks through the options and gives you the exact price before anything is ordered.
Do I need an insulated garage door?
If the garage is attached to the house, or you use it as a workshop or gym, yes — a fully insulated door is noticeably quieter and holds temperature far better. For a detached garage used only for parking, a vinyl-backed door is usually the sensible middle ground.
Can I replace just one damaged panel instead of the whole door?
Often, yes — if the model is still available and the other sections are sound. Where the door is discontinued or several sections are affected, replacement usually makes more sense, and we'll tell you honestly which applies.
